Editorial policy

How facts are sourced

• Per-cell source URLs. Every factual cell in the carrier comparison dataset and the exclusion tracker dataset links to the source that supports it: carrier press releases, product pages, Lloyd's market announcements, agent association guidance, regulator records, or trade press.
• Source hierarchy. Primary sources (carrier documents, regulatory filings) outrank trade press; trade press outranks analysis and commentary. Where only secondary sources exist, the row is flagged as needing primary verification.
• No invented details. If a carrier has not disclosed a limit, exclusion, or term, the cell reads "Not disclosed / verify with carrier". We never infer coverage terms.

How facts are verified

• Last-verified dates. Every dataset cell carries the date it was last checked against its source. These dates render on the pages next to the data.
• Quarterly re-verification. Every cell is re-verified against its source URL at least quarterly. This market moves fast: capacity figures changed three times in six weeks during our initial research. Launches, capacity changes, and new exclusion filings trigger ad hoc updates between cycles.
• Verification status labels. Rows are labeled verified when supported by cited sources, or needs primary verification when we are still waiting on a primary source. Unverified rows stay visibly flagged; they are never silently promoted.

Changelogs

The comparison table and the exclusion tracker each publish a changelog on the page itself. Every data change is dated and described. The underlying datasets are versioned, so changes are diffs, not rewrites.

Independence and funding

• This site does not sell, solicit, or negotiate insurance and holds no producer license.
• Launch funding comes from display advertising, sponsorship, and advisory services (coverage-readiness engagements via iSL Advisory). Sponsors get labeled placements, never editorial influence over dataset contents or rankings.
• No carrier or broker pays for inclusion, position, or characterization in any dataset.
